Week of the 2nd Sept 2013

I have been up north near the Scottish border in Coquetdale, Northumberland, doing a walkover survey in advance of proposed forestry planting. We revisited several scheduled Iron Age/Romano-British settlements, but the highlight of the project was identifying a large new prehistoric funerary cairn.
